Expedition principles in a business context

An antique brass compass resting on an old map

I've spent much of my life guiding people through uncertain terrain, literally. I sailed across the Atlantic at 19, worked as a bungee jumpmaster, led multi-week wilderness expeditions in three countries.

I got really good at helping people face fear and navigate complexity.

Then I went corporate, got my master's degrees, became Gallup and PROSCI-certified.

But here's what I realized: the principles that help someone navigate across a wide expanse of ocean are the same principles that help organizations navigate change.

Both require clear communication, trust in the process, and a guide who's been there before.

That's why I started Bay Consulting, to help mission-driven leaders get unstuck from operational chaos so they can focus on the transformational work they're meant to do.
